Celebrating Collective Action Towards Sustainable Growth!

At ESAF Foundation, we believe that strong communities and shared ownership are central to building a just and resilient economy. Collective enterprises—such as Farmer Producer Organisations and cooperatives—play a vital role in creating sustainable livelihoods, strengthening rural economies, and advancing inclusive development.

Rooted in India’s cooperative tradition and strengthened by national initiatives like the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs, collective enterprises are emerging as key drivers of financial inclusion, local leadership, and innovation. Their work directly contributes to global development priorities, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption).

Instituted by the Bharat Centre of Excellence for Collective Enterprises (BCECE), the Best Collective Award 2025 recognises organisations that demonstrate responsible governance, financial discipline, innovation, and measurable community impact. These collectives go beyond business success—strengthening ecosystems, promoting sustainability, and enabling dignified livelihoods through cooperation and shared value.
